Step by step

Wash the strawberries, cut them into small pieces and leave to marinate with a few teaspoons of sugar and a little lemon juice for at least 1 hour (if you’re in a hurry, instead of leaving them to marinate you can take 1/3 of the strawberries and blend them).

Tips
Make this dessert when strawberries are in season; out-of-season strawberries cost much more and will either be a from a greenhouse or come from abroad.
Trivia
To get an even fresher and more delicate result, strawberry tiramisù can also be made with ‘robiola’ cheese instead of mascarpone and substituting plain yoghurt for the cream.
