Lovers of desserts or fish-based main courses of the Sicilian and Campania tradition will be well acquainted with sultanas: the latter, obtained through a special vine and therefore a sun-drying process. Among the most delicious preparations of Italian cuisine in which sultanas are also present, there are for example stockfish, as well as sardines, after which, a long series of desserts including the classic Milanese panettone, or again, classic pancakes. Sultanas can also be enjoyed in the form of jelly or jam, as well as in alcohol.
