Guacamole sauce is a Mexican specialty - invented to be precise by the Aztec civilization - for the preparation of which avocado is used combined with chili, onions, garlic, pepper, lime juice, cumin and coriander and, finally, tomato. Guacamole is mainly used to flavor meat in a tasty way, whether prepared on the grill or even fried, as it is also ideal for seasoning fish or even to make the tortilla more appetizing. Guacamole is also prepared in the United States using mayonnaise or sour cream.
Use in cooking
Mexican cuisine in particular uses guacamole: this sauce can be used to season fish and meat dishes in the best possible way.
Preservation
Guacamole can be stored in the refrigerator: once placed in a jar, it should be covered with a little tequila or, alternatively, you can also use lemon juice to prevent oxidation.
Curiosity
In the Aztec language, guacamole - originally Auacam Olli - means nothing more than avocado-based sauce.
