Ingredient

pork fillet

The pig is an animal of which nothing is thrown away, according to peasant tradition: in fact, starting from the meat up to the fur, it is possible to recycle every single part to obtain something tasty or, alternatively, useful in everyday life. In the case of pork fillet, which is one of the noblest parts of this animal, it must be said that the meat itself is characterized by its notable lightness, being very low in fat, yet having a very high nutrient intake. Compared to other types of fillet, pork fillet also costs rather less.

Use in cooking

Due to its particular nutritional properties, pork fillet is suitable for use in the preparation of nutritious but lean dishes, such as cut meats or roasts.

Preservation

The pork fillet can be safely stored in the fridge for a couple of days or, alternatively, it can be frozen for up to three months.

Curiosity

Even though it is pork, which in the collective imagination is synonymous with fat, pork fillet is a very lean and equally nutritious meat.
