Tomato juice is a real panacea and a concentrate of flavour: to produce it, well-ripe tomatoes are generally used, to which lemon juice, salt and pepper are then added, which can also be combined with chilli pepper if necessary. Tomato juice, thanks to the high lycopene content, is perfect not only to drink by those who do regular physical activity, but it is also ideal for preventing diseases such as osteoporosis. In many cases, tomato juice is used to prepare rather light aperitifs, as well as for the preparation of cocktails such as the bloody mary.
