Ingredient

berries

Berries grow especially in those humid environments, as is the case of the undergrowth, even if they are commonly grown in gardens, especially in places located in the mountainous regions of our country. Berries such as blueberries, raspberries, myrtle, currants, blackberries and cassis belong to the berries, all generally characterized by a color tending towards red or black, more or less dark, rich in vitamins and antioxidant substances. Ice cream, cakes and yoghurts are just some examples of how berries can be used: in reality, however, the latter are especially appreciated in summer as a dessert at the end of light meals.

Use in cooking

According to tradition, berries can be used to enrich the aroma and flavor of yogurt and cakes of all kinds, as well as being consumed as a dessert at the end of a meal.

Preservation

You can store the berries in the refrigerator for a couple of days, or alternatively, they can be frozen for months and ultimately used to make jam.

Curiosity

Berries should not be rinsed with water, rather, they should be soaked in fresh white wine.
