The world of desserts is a parallel dimension consisting of gentle hugs and kisses, shades of colour and delicious aromas, where - if you’re not careful - you can get lost in the sins of gluttony, but also where your heart wishes to communicate the sort of loving tenderness that only really carefully made sweets and desserts can manage. So what could be better than to make the best chocolate chip cookies with chilli, a perfect match for those who want to give their taste buds a treat, without on the one hand missing out on the food of the gods, but still having a little of the fiery spice that gives a touch of something extra to any dish? Well, don’t miss out on this recipe and discover how these biscuits can win the heart of your loved one, especially on Valentine’s Day.
Soften the butter and mix it with the sugar in a food processor or electric mixer. When the mixture is well blended, add the flour, baking powder, egg, cocoa powder, a pinch of salt and mix again. Finally add few tablespoons of milk, just enough to make a nice smooth paste. Take the chocolate and chop it up into very small pieces, then add to the mixture along with the chilli. Add as much chilli as you wish according to how spicy you like your food. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking sheet with baking parchment. Spoon the batter onto the baking sheet in circular, biscuit-shaped dollops and bake for about twenty minutes. When cooked, let them cool thoroughly, possibly in front of an open window to make them crispier.
