This sweet plait is a great idea for any moment of your day: it's a great school break for your children or for breakfast. Can be served with a nice glass of milk or a cup of tea. It's soft and nice, not rich in sugar, so that you can spread it with jam or chocolate. You can also choose to bake individual little plaits or one single big plait.
Make a well with the flours, add butter at room temperature, sugar, egg and work well. Add the yeast previously melted into warm milk and a pinch of salt. Work well until the dough is even and soft. Leave it to rise until it doubles in size (about 2 hours). Knock it back, divide it into 3 parts, then work it and make a plait with it. Leave it to rise again. When doubled in size, brush it with egg yolk and bake for 30 min at 180°C.
