Creamed strawberries

Sometimes guests turn up at the last minute leaving you in a panic, not knowing what to offer them. This recipe is the solution: not a dinner, but a dessert - fresh, fast and really lovely. It is a ‘vegan’ version of strawberry fool, made with fresh strawberries and instead of sugar, malted rice. Try it, even if you're not vegan: it’s a chance to enjoy a slightly different flavour and to try malted rice as a sugar substitute.
