There is nothing better than a nice plate of delicate but scrumptious treats to brighten up your day, especially if you manage to create the right atmosphere, with the right company, for celebrating an important day such as birthday. Here we suggest one of those recipes suitable for a party where you can be assured of all the pleasures of soft chocolate creams with lots of melt-in-the-mouth Nutella, accompanied by a pleasant crunchy topping made with dried and candied fruit, which not only garnishes them to perfection but also makes them utterly irresistible. Let yourself be seduced by this recipe which is absolutely ideal for any party where there are adults and children eager for something sweet and delectable.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler - or in a heat-proof bowl over some simmering water - along with the Nutella and sugar. Pour the melted Nutella and chocolate mixture into moulds placed on a sheet of cling film (about half a centimetre in depth) and decorate as desired. Refrigerate the cakes, being careful not to move them for about 30 minutes. Remove them from the moulds and serve.
