Tuscan cuisine is a really tasty and rustic cuisine. Its recipes are the result of the mixture of two traditions, the country and the sea ones. If we refer to the peasant tradition, we cannot fail to mention the famous ribollita soup, a soup of mixed vegetables and bread roasted. If instead we think of the maritime tradition, the first dish that comes to mind is cacciucco, another soup, but this time based on fish, with red mullet and other tasty fish. Speaking of meats, Tuscany is also the home of the famous Florentine steak, a very thick and very tasty beef rib. Other noteworthy recipes are baccalà or mullet alla livornese and cantuccini, delicious biscuits with almonds to dip in Vin Santo.
