Toad in the Hole

This traditional British dish is a great combination between sausages and a Yorkshire pudding. Its name, Toad in the Hole, comes from the fact that the sausages peeping out from the batter give the idea of a toad jumping out from a hole in the ground. For the simplicity of the ingredients and for the nice idea of the toad jumping out of the ground, this recipe is perfect for children. Don't forget to serve it with some vegetables, such as spinaches or pees, to make the dish really complete also from a nutritional point of view!
