Friuli Venezia Giulia cuisine is a cuisine rich in history. Its flavors are permeated by the influence of neighboring Veneto, as well as that of equally neighboring Austria and Hungary. Goulash is a typical Friulian recipe and is influenced by Hungarian influence. Delicious are also cotechini, speck, excellent mountain sausage, but also the famous Sacher cake, of Austrian origin. Another very famous dessert is Gubana, a leavened sweet bread enriched with many spices and dried fruit. To complete this gastronomy so rich in exquisite flavors we find mustards and jams. A joy for the palate!
